A packaged tour reservation is linked to a pre-defined PTR which means the tour date is not flexible and theĀ passengers on the tour have access to a certain set of services. It is preplanned using the best set of services that include travel, accomodation and sight seeing for an economical package fee to the traveler.
2. What is scheduling?
Scheduling is all about scheduling stops, vans and seats and adding travelers to the created van and seats on a packaged tour.
3. How do i setup a Van and assign seats to travelers of a tour? Is there any order that i should be following?
The logical order would be to first add stops followed by a section.Once the section is created, we can assign the listed travelers and add them to a particular section. Link the coach stops to a created van. Then you can link the traveler pickup and drop off to the van created. The last step would be to assign seats to the travelers on the motor coach. 4. What makes up a Packaged Tour reservation?
A PTR or for that matter a FIT reservation is made up of Tour, Traveler and Service Information. Tour information means the tour date and tour code and type of tour. Traveler Reservation details contains data about the type of reservation and traveler contact details. The service information is all about the services availed by the traveler in the reservation.
5. What is the difference between a traveler and a passenger?
A traveler is the person linked to a reservation. The reservation may consist of one or more passengers including the traveler.
