The PTR Reservation Search Screen is used to find the details of one or many Packaged Tour Reservations based on an input search criteria.
There are many ways of carrying out a search as per operator needs. These are categorised in such a way so that the operator can regulate the search as per the criteria in hand. Following are the categories based on which a search can be conducted.
1. Reservation ID
2. Tour Specific Information
3. Traveler Information
4. Date based and
5. Advanced Search.
Based on the set of data that the operator is looking for, any of the below input fields shown in Figure 1 can be fed with the information that we want the search to fetch. This could be later narrowed down by adding more information to a set of search fields till one arrives at the specific reservation record. Feeding as many search fields as one knows about the search that is being made helps Centaur to fetch that piece of information quickly as otherwise one gets lost in the maze of information that Centaur provides on a general search criteria than based on a specific one.
An example of a bull’s eye search could be entering a reservation id, and if that reservation exists, the system would show the reservation record directly instead of going through an intermediate screen as shown in Figure 2 where the operator needs to go through the list of records before clicking on the appropriate one.
