Searching for Online PTR Reservations
What are Online reservations
Online reservations are different from reservations done in the backoffice. The online reservations are created either by an agency or by a direct traveler by coming to the tour agency or tour company website. The centaur link for Packaged Tour reservations is hosted on such above mentioned website, and the data is entered and validated and the payment directly made using a payment gateway.
The reservation booking data is now part of the centaur booking database.
We can search for reservations that were created using a online link or from a website which had the centaur reservation link embedded in it.
As you can see the, the list of online reservations are identified by a reservation id and a client id. Once the user clicks on any of the client id ( in this case 387 ) for a online reservation in the list, the reservation details are shown as is seen below. The client id for online reservations is a temporary id given for the client. Once you map the traveler or the client to an existing customer using the provided match mechanism, the existing client id would be linked to the customer in this reservation. This linking is done by selecting the existing customer from the provided list and clicking on the Update Customer button.
The user also has the option to Add an Online Customer, if no matching was found from the list of existing customers.
