Multi day Itinerary Setup is used to package a multi day tour and use it for FIT reservations.
To create a new Itinerary, we need to enter the following mandatory information in the Build tab.
Itinerary name: is the name of the itinerary.
Duration: The number of days that make up the MDI.
Itinerary Region: The region to which it is located.
Starting Destination: The start destination of the MDI.
Season Start Date: The start date of the season to which it applies.
Season End Date: The end date of the season to which it applies.
Once all the information is entered, the first screen can be saved. The screen after saving appears as below.
The next step is to package the various services into each of the days of the itinerary of the MDI. The packaging screen is shown as below. For adding services to each day of the MDI, we need to be in the Packaging screen. Please note that untill the tour is built, we cannot navigate to Packaging screen.
To add a service, we can select the Add a service option from the More Actions drop down menu on the right and select the appropriate service. The screen below shows how a service is added to the daily itinerary.
Once all the services are added for the days in the itinerary, the packaging screen looks similar to the one below.
Let us now see how a packaged MDI can be used in an FIT reservation. Under the Service&Price tab of FIT reservation, we can choose to build the Tour using any one of the already setup Multi day itineraries.
